Launched in 2001, the Advertising Education Foundation of Houston mission is to provide academic scholarships that connect the next generation of talent to make the Houston advertising community vibrant.

Bill Fogarty, Chairman of the Advertising Education Foundation of Houston passed away on March 30. Bill was a legendary figure in the Houston advertising community and a tremendous supporter for this organization. We honor Bill’s wishes in asking that, in lieu of flowers, to make a donation to AEFH in his name.

The Advertising Education Foundation of Houston mourns the loss of our esteemed Vice Chairman, Jay Hagins, who passed away on April 10th. Jay was an inspiring leader, a dedicated organizer, a cherished mentor, and a truly gentle giant who positively impacted countless lives. His absence will be deeply felt. How to be World Class
Chris Canetti is the President of the FIFA World Cup Houston Host Committee.
He has more than 30 years of experience working in sports marketing. This includes two decades working in Houston where he was President of the Houston Dynamo and Dash, the men’s and women’s Houston Major League Soccer franchises.
He began his sports marketing career as general manager of the New Haven Ravens double A minor league baseball club affiliated with the Colorado Rockies. He was Assistant General Manager of the New York Red Bulls MLS soccer franchise before coming to Houston.
He is a graduate of Quinnipiac University and has been an adjunct professor of sports marketing for Rice University.

Native Houstonian Mia Gradney is an Emmy Award-winning talent and the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. anchor at KHOU 11 News in Houston, Texas.
For two decades, Mia has covered everything from historic hurricanes to major Hollywood red carpet events and national sports championships. She specializes in breaking news/continuous coverage and special events with interests in women empowerment/job readiness, health & wellness and sports entertainment.
Prior to her work at KHOU 11 News, Mia anchored and reported for over a decade at Houston’s CW 39 providing reports for the local station and station group. She got her start in television in Houston behind the scenes as a writer and production assistant. Mia made the transition to on-air talent with career stops in Victoria and Beaumont before returning to her hometown of Houston to anchor, report and produce special programming and news.
Mia is a proud alumna of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Radio/Television and a specialty track in broadcast news. In 2016, the university honored and inducted her into its Distinguished Alumni Society. She is also a past inductee into the school’s Dan Rather Hall of Fame.
